Butler Terrace is a working shed, not a showroom. Two Molnar hoists, a bench that stays busy, and enough room to get a fully loaded touring rig inside with the tray back, canopy, roof rack and rooftop tent still on it.
Most days there is a ute in the air and something else waiting its turn. It is a two bay country workshop doing the ordinary work that keeps a district on the road.

The shed on Butler Terrace
One shed, one small team, and the whole job from the diagnosis to the drive away. Reviews here keep landing on the same two words, honest and reliable, which is the part we would rather be known for than any list of services.

Warning lights, odd noises and problems nobody else could pin down. Customers keep writing that we found the fault quickly, including one that is not common on the vehicle.
Ball joints, front end work and the wear that country roads bring on. One review calls out a lower ball joint replaced at a reasonable and honest price.
Pads, discs and brake work. Bendix products are available here, as the sign on the front of the workshop says.
Delkor calcium batteries sold here, as the sign on the front of the workshop says. Fitted while the car is in.
Trays, canopies, roof racks and rooftop tents. Touring rigs come into this workshop loaded, which is how you find what is actually wrong with them.
A Subaru XV in for a lower ball joint. An Isuzu D-Max in off the highway. An Alfa Romeo with the bonnet up in the yard. The cars that come through here are as mixed as the district is, and none of them get turned away for being the wrong make.
These are the names on the front of the workshop and on the shelves inside it.

The workshop has been trading in Naracoorte since 2010, and Leon has run it under his own name since 2019. It is still a small shop, which is exactly why the reviews keep naming him personally rather than naming a service department.
Naracoorte sits on the road between Melbourne and Adelaide, so alongside the regulars there is a steady run of people who have had something let go a long way from home. Being fitted in on the day is what most of those reviews are about, and they go back years.
“We had issues with our DMax and Leon fit us in straight away. They quickly diagnosed and fixed an issue that isn’t common for our vehicle and had us back on the road the same day.”

A reviewer who broke down here called it a small team that was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. That is the whole shop, in one line, from someone who had never met us before.
Ring the workshop during the week and you are speaking to the people who will have your car, not to a service desk somewhere else.
Ring (08) 8762 2404“Naracoorte Automotive Repairs is hands down the most honest and reliable mechanic shop in town. I brought my 2016 Subaru XV here. They quickly diagnosed the issue and replaced the lower ball joint for a very reasonable and honest price, no hidden fees, no unnecessary upsells. The mechanic is highly experienced, professional, and genuinely cares about his customers. Finding a trustworthy mechanic in SA is hard, but these guys are the absolute best. Will definitely bring my car back for future services. Highly recommended!”
“Naracoorte Automotive Repairs, absolute legends. We had issues with our DMax and Leon fit us in straight away. From the moment I arrived, the small team was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. They quickly diagnosed and fixed an issue that isn't common for our vehicle and had us back on the road the same day. As travellers, we're incredibly grateful for how well we were treated when we really needed help. The pricing was also fantastically affordable. Thank you so much, legends.”
“Leon was swift, professional and very kind. Also had a car service done, and these people are truly truly wonderful. Highly Recommend 👍”
“We could not be more grateful for Leon's help when we had car trouble on route from Melbourne to Adelaide. He was incredibly helpful and got us on the way again at very short notice. Phenomenal service (including tips for good coffee in the area)! I would recommend very highly.”

The quickest way to get a car booked in is a phone call during workshop hours. If it is after five or you would rather write it down, email works just as well and lands straight in the office.
